Privacy
This page describes how the website currently handles personal data while Civic Shield is still in formation. It is an interim transparency notice and will be replaced by a full organisational privacy notice when the legal entity and operating systems are established.
What this site does
Civic Shield is not yet a registered legal entity. The formal data-controller position will be stated when the entity is established. Until then, this page describes the website’s actual data flows rather than presenting a completed organisational privacy framework that does not yet exist.
The website currently uses no advertising technology, behavioural analytics, social-media tracking pixels or third-party marketing cookies. There is no user account or sign-in function. As with ordinary web hosting, infrastructure providers may process limited technical request data required to deliver and secure the site.
One page collects something: the contact form. It asks only for the information needed to reply — name, email address and message. Those fields are transmitted through the services used to deliver the message: a small program run on Cloudflare, and Brevo, to info@civicshieldai.org. Neither this website nor those services keep a copy. The website does not intentionally add contact-form submissions to a marketing list or use them for advertising.
Messages received are treated as ordinary correspondence and retained for as long as they remain relevant to the relationship, applicable legal obligations or legitimate organisational needs. Contacting info@civicshieldai.org directly reaches the same inbox without using the website form.
This notice concerns the public website. Civic Shield’s proposed research and monitoring infrastructure is separate and is not yet operating in production. Its data-protection and governance framework will be documented before live monitoring begins.
